Culturally responsive therapy for immigrants, children of immigrants, and South Asian Muslim communities navigating anxiety, trauma, and family relationships.
It can be scary and frustrating when you don’t feel like yourself and you don’t understand why. You may feel pulled between different cultural identities while trying to stay grounded in the values you grew up with as an immigrant or child of immigrants. Over time, this tension can begin to affect your relationships, your sense of self, and the way you move through the world.
I am a South Asian Muslim Licensed Professional Counselor based in Houston, Texas, committed to helping individuals and families better understand themselves and create meaningful change in their lives. Through my personal experience of being an immigrant and my professional experience as a therapist, I provide culturally affirming therapy via telehealth to people across Texas, particularly those from South Asian, Middle Eastern, and other Muslim-majority cultural backgrounds (often referred to as SWANA communities).
