I’m a Mental Health Counselor (LPC Associate) in the Greater Houston area. I provide Career, College, Couples, and Psychotherapy counseling. My specialty is in working with multicultural clients, especially the South Asian community, in navigating cultural identity and other related concerns.
I work with clients from all walks of life. I have experience working with couples, families, adolescents, and adults. I enjoy a good challenge and welcome those who are unsure if therapy is “for them”. I ensure to create a safe space for my clients and utilize an eclectic integrative approach with clients in order to help them become more aware of themselves, focus more on their own processing, and to develop individualized coping strategies. We will work as a team to set goals and tackle each issue that is brought to the session. I believe that clients are the experts of their own lives, and will have a better understanding of themselves than anyone else. This can help you develop more resources to make better decisions, and therefore reach your goals in life.
I am passionate about helping my clients overcome and process issues such as depression, anxiety, communication and relationship issues, grief and loss, and much more. Whether you come as an individual or need support for your relationship or several members of your family. I am ready to help you on your journey.
I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use and have worked with clients of all ages.
I believe that therapy is a safe space for growth and development, and to challenge negativity. Therapy is deeply personal, not something that can be “one size fits all”. Therapy is unique and should be tailored to meet your individual needs. I strive to meet my clients where they are in their lives and to assist them in navigating towards positive development and attainment of their personal goals. I currently work with incarcerated individuals at my local county jail. I strive to help meet their mental health needs and provide support in what can highly increase emotions such as anxiety, depression, and thoughts of self-injurious behaviors. This has truly driven my personal view on therapy as completely unique and individual. I tailor every session to that specific client and their needs at that moment.
