I am a first-generation South Asian American Muslim woman who understands the unique dynamics of growing up in two worlds. As a therapist, I strive to be kind, patient, and understanding to all my clients, regardless of their cultural, religious, and racial identities. My open and compassionate demeanor helps people lower the walls they have built to protect themselves and allows them to share their stories in a warm and non-judgmental environment. I am eager to learn more about you, what makes you who you are, and how best to guide you through the struggles you are experiencing.
I work well with adolescents and adults, and have worked in the field since 2016. I have helped clients with managing their anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship conflicts, and personality disorders. I am passionate about social justice, redefining cultural and gender roles, and being true to self without sacrificing our integrity and core values.
As a child of immigrant parents, I understand the struggles of being different, assimilating to a new culture, and striving for a balance between coming into my own identity and staying connected to my roots. I can help you become a healthier version of yourself and I am committed to providing you a safe, welcoming, and warm environment in your journey.
