I am the owner and founder of Dandelions Counseling Services, a practice rooted in the belief that healing begins in a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I am an Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board-Certified in Neurofeedback (BCN) with over a decade of experience working with individuals facing trauma, emotional distress, and life transitions. With dual Master’s degrees—one in Social Work from India and another in Counseling from the University of Houston–Clear Lake, I bring a unique and culturally responsive approach to mental health. My background allows me to integrate compassionate, person-centered care with evidence-based interventions, creating therapy experiences that are both deeply empathetic and effective.
I specialize in trauma-informed care and has advanced training in:
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Neurofeedback therapy
- Crisis intervention
- Culturally sensitive counseling
I work primarily with adults who have experienced intimate partner violence, sexual assault, complex trauma, and immigration-related challenges. My approach is tailored to meet each client’s unique needs, goals, and always grounded in empathy, safety, and respect.
As a an immigrant, I understands the emotional, cultural, and systemic challenges of starting over in a new environment. My personal journey of adapting to new systems while honoring my cultural roots shapes the compassionate, inclusive support I offer to others facing similar challenges. I am passionate about helping others feel empowered, validated, and supported through their healing journey.
Fluent in English, Hindi, Kannada, and Tulu, I can offer care that is linguistically and culturally attuned, helping clients feel truly understood in all aspects of their identity.
