I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who is culturally sensitive and passionate about helping individuals build their emotional resilience in times of challenge. I provide individual therapy to adults who are seeking to develop effective coping skills to better manage life stressors, anxiety, negative self-talk, and relationship challenges. I am also available to provide professional development and career counseling for individuals experiencing work related stress and challenges.
I believe in creating a safe and judgement-free zone to speak your truth. My role is to be an objective listener, someone on the outside, who can help bring clarity and put things into perspective when you are feeling unsettled, overwhelmed, and stuck. Using a collaborative approach, together we will uncover behavior and thinking patterns that might be getting in your way. I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach. I seek to understand your unique situation and identify strategies that will work best for you.
My practice is informed by my diverse work experiences in both community-based and mission-driven organizations, which uniquely position me to understand the way social, economic, and political systems impact us day-to-day. Additionally, as a South Asian American, I understand the impacts of racial trauma and the nuances of belonging, identity, overcoming stigma, and navigating family/cultural expectations.
