Rupal has more than 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. She received her BA in Psychology at Temple University, and went on to get her MA in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University, followed by post-graduate work at Johns Hopkins University. She is a licensed clinical counselor as well as a board-approved supervisor.
Since founding Thoughts & Emotions in 2005 Rupal has focused on working with individuals struggling with Depression & Anxiety. In particular, Rupal specializes in helping adolescents and adults through life changes. Ranging from transition into middle or high school, peer group changes, test-taking anxiety to relationship struggles, transitioning into adulthood, career changes, marriage, or starting a family. Rupal works closely with her clients, their loved ones, and their providers to find long term and sustainable treatment outcomes.
Rupal’s therapeutic approach is eclectic. She uses a variety of techniques to address each individual’s unique needs and strengths using a psychodynamic approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy).
