Dr. Sodah Minty (she/her) is a licensed clinical psychologist and identifies as a cis gender, Muslim, South Asian, able bodied woman and an immigrant. Dr. Minty’s clinical focus includes grief, systemic oppression, relationships, and the Muslim experience of intersecting identities. Dr. Minty’s clinical work focuses on challenging the Western narrative that we need “fixing” in order to fit in and be productive. Her approach to care is founded on the belief that our health should not be contingent upon our conformity. Rather, our sense of connection to our community and ourselves should determine our well-being and happiness. Along with her private practice, Dr. Minty is a clinical supervisor and staff psychologist in the university counseling setting.
