Bansri Patel is a Resident in Counseling in Virginia who has been practicing since 2022. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University. She also holds a Master’s degree in Forensic & Legal Psychology from Marymount University. As a resident, she is working towards her licensure to become an LPC. Bansri provides services for adolescents, individuals, and couples. Bansri works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship dysfunction, transitional stressors, and well as family conflicts. She believes that everyone is the expert of their own life and pursues to facilitate therapy in a way that best meets the needs of the client, encouraging autonomy and introspection. Bansri applies humanistic elements and utilizes approaches from person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family system, multicultural competency, and mindfulness. She hopes to offer a safe and comfortable environment in which the client feels understood and validated in their experience of the world. She encourages growth and healing in the process by providing a supportive and comfortable environment. In her free time, Bansri enjoys cooking, reading, being outside, spending time with her family, and trying out new hobbies.
