Hi I’m Natasha!
Our culture, identities, experiences of marginalization, and familial roles impact how we navigate the world and can make living authentically complex. Our unique experiences can leave us feeling misunderstood, alone, and plagued by worry. Life’s challenges can cause sleep issues, struggles with concentration, and increased guilt, shame, and irritability. Becoming empowered and confident comes with challenges, like isolation and changes in your relationship dynamics. I know it can be hard to find someone who understands how your minority identities intersect and how your culture and upbringing impact your struggles and healing.
Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all, so I collaborate with you and adapt to meet your specific needs. I take time to help you explore and understand how your past experiences impact your current ways of coping and worldview. Using this insight, we work to identify common themes and underlying patterns to unlearn and challenge negative thought patterns. Empathy and unconditional positive regard are key elements that help us build a connection to evoke empowerment and change. You are encouraged to take the lead during therapy as you are the expert on yourself. I will also equip you with skills and knowledge that you can use throughout your life to continuously grow towards long-lasting, sustainable change that will benefit you and generations to come.
I also offer brainspotting to those who have a therapist as an adjunct service.
