Ananya Dhoundiyal, LMSW, LCSW Supervisee, is committed to helping individuals navigate their mental health journey with a holistic and personalized approach. Serving clients across the state of Virginia, she draws primarily from humanistic and cognitive behavioral theories to address each patient’s unique needs. With a rich background as a psychotherapist and social worker in the USA, Canada, and India, Ananya brings a diverse and culturally sensitive perspective to her work, helping clients from various backgrounds feel understood and supported. Ananya is particularly passionate about treating anxiety, depression, and trauma, specializing in helping those who have experienced grief, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). She provides a safe and compassionate space for clients to explore their emotions and develop coping strategies. Ananya’s therapeutic methods are rooted in evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Internal Family Systems. Outside of her clinical work, Ananya is an avid animal lover who volunteers with animal organizations. She also enjoys hiking, dancing, practicing yoga, and spending time with her dog.
