    There is shock and sadness in the aftermath of the tragic death of four individuals (parents and two children) in Plainsboro, NJ. Engineers of the NIT alums are looking for ways to understand this and learn what can be done to prevent such tragedies. The workshop will address anxiety and stress issues, mental illness stigma, domestic violence, and why South Asians are reluctant to seek help when needed.

It will address myths, perceptions and challenges in the management of alcohol use in South Asians in the U.S. And, the workshop will also discuss importance of culturally relevant Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for the Asians including South Asian community.
