The SAMHIN team of mental health providers will provide free mental health screenings for stress, anxiety, depression, alcohol and drug use, ADHD, and smoking/tobacco use. The clinicians will be available to answer your questions, address concerns and provide guidance and referrals. Free educational handouts will also be available. Naloxone nasal spray will be available free. Medical teams will provide EKG, blood tests, physical therapy advice, eye exams, etc.

Workshop will discuss prevalence of substance use in Asian Communities in the U.S. and identify cultural barriers to care. It will address myths, perceptions and challenges in the management of alcohol use in South Asians in the U.S. And, the workshop will also discuss importance of culturally relevant Alcoholics Anonymous meetings for the Asians including South Asian community. |

In the spirit of Mental Health Awareness month, Salesforce will host a virtual fireside chat focused on mental health awareness for its South Asian employees, featuring Dr. Makhija leading an interactive and engaging Q & A session. Issues of stigma, myths of mental illness in South Asian community and access to care will be addressed.
