Ms. Shilpa Shah is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York and Founder/Clinical Director of Woodrose Counseling in Flushing, New York. She obtained her Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from The City University of New York (CUNY) Brooklyn College.
Shilpa is a multilingual licensed mental health counselor fluent in Gujarati. Her experience working with young adults and adults from diverse backgrounds in community-based and outpatient settings informs her culturally sensitive approach to treatment. Shilpa’s warm, compassionate, and professional approach enables her to establish rapport and work collaboratively with clients in achieving their goals and meeting their needs. She aims at creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for her clients. She utilizes an eclectic approach drawing from psychodynamic, person-centered, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
