Shashi Khanna (LCSW) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is specializes in individual, group, and family therapy with adults and children. She has more than a decade years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on individuals and families struggling with mental health and addiction issues. Her goal is to understand all facets of her client’s life to help them recover and develop healthy coping techniques to live optimal life.
Some of her methods include: CBT, DBT, Prolonged Exposure, SMART Recovery and EMDR. She tries to find holistic solutions for her patients by incorporating strategies of mindfulness, wellness through an in depth bio-psycho-social assessment.
Shashi is also a culturally sensitive therapist, having volunteered extensively for the South Asian Support Group as part of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI).
Shashi received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University, in addition to a Bachelor’s in Business and Education from India. She also received a post-graduate certificate in Bowen Family Therapy.
Shashi strives to create a healthy and nonjudgmental environment in order for her clients to achieve deep insights and establish a balanced life.
