Dr. Gautam Bhasin is a clinical psychologist, who specializes in Neuropsychology and works with individuals across the lifespan (ages 3 – 99). He has received specialized training from Mt. Sinai, Bellevue, and Northwell Staten Island University Hospital.
Dr. Bhasin is also a New Jersey State Certified School Psychologist. He is able to provide insight on how schools provide special education services to children of all ages. He also has the ability and expertise to provide consultation services to parents and students during Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings.
Dr. Bhasin has expertise in evaluating and treating geriatric cognitive disorders (neurodegenerative disease and stroke), mood and anxiety disorders, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injury, ADHD, and learning disabilities in adults, adolescents, and children. He remains committed to utilizing evidence-based practice in both therapeutic and assessment settings. He is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and New York.
Upon their initial consultation and throughout the treatment/evaluation process, patients will find a kind and caring professional. Dr. Bhasin compassionately addresses patients’ symptoms and is mindful about creating a safe space for evaluation and treatment.
Dr. Bhasin completed his doctoral program at Kean University in Combined School and Clinical Psychology. He earned his Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University and his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, where he graduated with Honors in Psychology. He received rigorous training in School, Clinical, and Neuropsychology through a mix of classes, practicums, and clinical rotations at world class hospitals.
