A warm welcome if you’ve come across my profile. I’m a South Asian woman, first-generation immigrant, and trauma-informed therapist. I have special interests in attachment trauma, complex trauma, racial trauma, and immigration/migration trauma. I work with the Art of Healing, a practice that specializes in EMDR and Somatic Experiencing. I have been trained in EMDR and primarily work with somatic and bottom-up approaches, which work to release the trauma stored in our bodies. I engage in talk therapy, but am mindful of the retraumatization that may come with the rehashing of those wounds. I enjoy incorporating creative and joyful elements into my work using play, music, movement, and meditation. I am a collaborative therapist who also firmly believes that there is no one size fits all approach but rather, with my own skill and knowledge, will attune to what various tools may work for you. I work with my clients, allowing them to choose what feels right for their minds and body. I invite in all clients who are navigating challenges around cultural identity, queerness, racial trauma, sexual trauma/shame, immigration, etc. My own identities are attuned to the understanding and challenges of those issues; however, However, I welcome anyone seeking a space of healing, safety, and care.
