Mental Health Awareness at Annual Tamil New Year Event – Edison, New Jersey

South Asian Mental Health Initiative and Network (SAMHIN) is proud to serve as a Platinum sponsor of New Jersey Thamizhar (NJT), a vibrant community organization that brings together families across New Jersey through arts, culture, and community engagement. NJT is dedicated to preserving and celebrating heritage, traditions, and intergenerational unity.
As part of this partnership, SAMHIN will bring mental health awareness to Sangamam 2026, NJT’s annual Tamil New Year celebration, held at Edison High School in Edison, New Jersey. This lively event will showcase cultural pride through dynamic performances and a wide array of delicious South Asian cuisine.
Attendees are invited to connect with the SAMHIN team to engage in open, confidential, and supportive conversations about mental health. Through this initiative, SAMHIN aims to reduce stigma, enhance mental health literacy, and promote overall mental wellness within the community.
