The SAMHIN team of mental health providers will provide mental health screenings for stress, anxiety, depression, alcohol and drug use, ADHD, etc. Psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers will be available to answer your questions and provide any advice and referrals needed. Free educational handouts will be made available. Clinicians will be available to answer any questions about mental health and addiction. You will have a chance to speak with a clinician confidentially and without being judged. Information and Narcan supply will be provided to provided to help prevent opiod overdose deaths.

Understanding South Asian Mental Health – Introduction

The workshop will address issues of dual cultural identity, LGBTQ and gender identity, youth pressures with parents, facilitating discussions between parents and children, shame and stigma associated with mental illness, barriers to care, and misconceptions in the South Asian community.
