As a social worker, I try to embody the values of the profession, not only in my work, but in my daily life. I am committed to engaging in service and social justice that improves life for the greater good of the people. My spiritual and feminist values also fall in line with social work values and inform my work as a therapist. I wholly believe that you have strengths and supports that can assist you in shifting your perspective just enough to see the world with a clearer outlook. The approach I use with clients is person-centered and deeply values the client-therapist relationship as the foundation for positive growth and change. My hope for you is that you feel empowered through our work together to take back control in your life feeling confident and self-reliant. Cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and humanistic approaches in combination comprise of my therapeutic approach; however, in collaboration with you I create individualized treatment plans to cater to your specific needs and what you find will be most effective in creating long lasting change.
