Kahlil Gibran’s metaphor likens the soul to a lotus flower. My aim as a clinician is to help you unfold the petals of your life’s story. We each have our stories that inform who we have become, who we are, and who we aim to be. As I accompany you on your journey of self-discovery, I use a narrative, mindfulness, and strengths-based approach. I am also trauma-informed. You are the author of your story and I help you writing it.
As an Asian Indian who was born and raised in North Carolina, I know what it’s like to feel alone in my experiences. I understand the unique experience that Indian immigrants and their families face. I bring my passion for creating spaces for us to feel less isolated into counseling. My identities are a part of the counseling space, and I create an environment of unconditional positive regard, compassion, and genuineness so that you feel comfortable telling me your story.
I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill (BA in linguistics, 2016) and Wake Forest University (MA in clinical mental health counseling in 2021). In addition, I am currently a PhD student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in their Counseling and Counselor Education program. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, cross stitching, horseback riding, and exploring new places. I look forward to meeting you!
