The SAMHIN team of mental health providers will provide free mental health screenings for stress, anxiety, depression, alcohol and drug use, ADHD, and smoking/tobacco use. The clinicians will be available to answer your questions and provide advice and referrals. Free educational handouts will also be available. Naloxone nasal spray will be available free. Medical teams will provide EKG, blood tests, physical therapy advice, eye exams, etc.

September is World Suicide Prevention Month. Suicide is a reality in our lives. Preventing suicide is everyone's business. This hybrid - in-person and virtual symposium will help improve understanding of issue of suicide in the South Asians, and prevention strategies. You will hear courageous accounts from suicide loss survivors. You will have opportunity to ask questions.
SAMHIN will have a presence at the annual Dussehra Festival celebration at Papaianni Park in Edison, NJ, where festivities will run all day, culminating in the Ravan Dahan ceremony in the evening. Our dedicated team of volunteers will be on-site to promote mental health and wellness, as well as to offer mental health screenings.
