Dr. Makhija will discuss the perils of model minority myth in the South Asians and how this adversely impacts on the help-seeking and mental health care of the South Asians including Asian Indians.
SAMHIN team of mental health providers will provide free screenings for stress, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, ADHD, etc. We will answer your questions about mental illness, treatments, addiction, and tobacco use. In addition, there will be general health screenings for diabetes, nutrition, blood pressure, and vision.
