The SAMHIN website does not collect any personally-identifiable information about our site visitors, other than information that visitors freely enter.

If you are a mental health provider, you have the option of entering personally-identifiable information about yourself or giving us permission to enter this information on our website, including your name, phone number, email address, nature and address of your practice, and your picture should you choose to utilize our services. You may request the removal of your information at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. The information collected is for the purposes of the mental health provider search. This allows anyone looking for a provider to be able to search by selected criteria. Exception: provider email addresses are used for direct communications between SAMHIN and you and are not published for public view.

All visitors can provide optional personal information about themselves including:

  • Subscriptions: The newsletter subscription allows you to control all of the regular email communication you receive from SAMHIN. Here, you can opt-in or opt-out from receiving our e-newsletter.
  • Ask a Mental Health Expert Form: The Ask a Mental Health Expert form allows you to enter information to ask a confidential mental health question.
  • Volunteer Application: The Volunteer Application form allows you to enter information to apply to be a SAMHIN volunteer.

Donor Privacy
SAMHIN does not trade, share or, sell a donor’s personal information to third parties, nor do we send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations. This policy applies to all donors, online and offline.

If you make a donation online on our website, you are required to enter personal contact information and credit card information. We use this information to process your donation and send you a confirmation receipt. This information will not be sold or shared with outside parties.

Link Tracking
Links within email communications you receive from us, have a tracking ID. This enables us to measure how often certain links are clicked to gauge overall interest in the email campaign. We are primarily interested in the aggregate effectiveness of our various online efforts.

Ask a Mental Health Expert Form
If you submit a question on our Ask a Mental Health Expert Form, SAMHIN will read your question and forward it to one of our approved experts, who may be a volunteer or member of our Provider Network.

Volunteer Application
If you submit a volunteer application, SAMHIN will review the information and then contact you about your interest in volunteering.

What Information we Share and ith Whom

Personally-identifiable information that you provide SAMHIN will only be used internally by SAMHIN and may be shared among the organization.

In the course of advancing its mission, SAMHIN relies on certain trusted business partners to perform certain tasks, such as handling mass mailings, delivering e-communications, processing payments, etc. This involves transferring information about you in paper or electronic form. SAMHIN makes every effort to ensure the trustworthiness and best business practices of these partners.
