Are you exhausted and feeling stuck? Have you felt like you can’t stop yourself from overthinking? Do you sometimes feel like you’re alone? Well I am here to help. Dealing with and being in these types of situations can sometimes be very tiring and overwhelming. Therapy can help you in order to get out of this dreaded repeated cycle. Together, we can work to become a better version of yourself by using the necessary tools and skills to overcome the day to day challenges that are faced in life.

I enjoy my work with individuals, couples, and children. After years of developing my skills in relationship building with the use of trust and empathy in the working field I realized how much of an asset I can be in the counseling profession. I then decided to pursue my M.S.Ed in Mental Health Counseling at Long Island University. My therapeutic career began at Elmhurst Hospital in the Child and Adolescent inpatient unit, where I gained experience working with children and adolescents suffering from psychological disabilities.

My goal is to assist individuals to process emotions and provide insight to these feelings. Together, we can work on exploring those thoughts and emotions as well as incorporating ways and resources to overcome this mindset.

I believe in providing mental health access to all individuals of different genders, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. As a first generation immigrant from Guyana, I have a passion to provide counseling to individuals from backgrounds where mental health is largely overlooked and/or misunderstood. I enjoy providing individuals with a safe and healing place to work through any difficulties they may face in life. I also provide support to bring couples and families together through the use of therapeutic modalities to help them have healthier bonds and relationships.
