SUMMARY:Mental Health Awareness at RHWB Event - Piscataway\, New Jersey
DESCRIPTION:The South Asian Mental Health Initiative and Network (SAMHIN) is proud to collaborate with Runner’s High With Bala (RHWB)\, an international movement dedicated to promoting fitness\, community\, and participation in races and marathons. Founded and led by Coach Bala Sankaran\, RHWB events are known for their energy\, enthusiasm\, and strong sense of community. RHWB has started promoting mental health in addition to physical health. RHWB Founder\, Bala’s vision is for the “physical and mental health to come together.” \nSAMHIN will be tabling at RHWB’s racing event at Johnson Park in Piscataway\, NJ. This event offers a valuable opportunity for participants to connect with SAMHIN’s team of mental health professionals\, engage in open conversations about mental health\, and access reliable information in a supportive environment. \nAttendees will have the chance to ask questions\, learn strategies to support their well-being\, and help reduce stigma around mental health within the community. Free educational materials will be available. In addition\, Narcan (Naloxone) will be provided along with guidance on its use to help prevent opioid overdose-related deaths.
