DESCRIPTION:Stigma and other barriers to mental health care have had a huge toll on the mental health of the Asian community. \nIn celebration of AAPI Month\, Community Outreach within Crum & Forster’s GAPI (Global Asian Pacific Islander) ERG\, headquartered in Morristown\, NJ have organized this virtual event. Dr. Vasudev Makhija has been invited to speak and discuss mental health in the Asian Community. This interactive event will address the reasons why Asians are reluctant to seek mental health care\, issues of stigma and other barriers to care and steps to reach out to children\, adolescents and elders to decrease stigma associated with mental illness. \nThis event is for Asian community at Crum & Forster.
